LM1117-xx series low dropout linear regulator with limit output current up to 1A

The LM1117-xx series of low dropout linear voltage regulators introduced by Xinyu Semiconductor have adjustable versions and multiple fixed versions, which are designed to provide a stable 1A output current, and the working voltage difference can be as low as 1.4V. In the fixed output version, the fixed output voltage is 1.2V, 1.5V, 1.8V, 2.5V, 2.85V, 3.0V, 3.3V, 3.5V, 5.0V, and the accuracy is 1%. The LM1117 of Siyu Semiconductor is internally integrated with overheating protection and current limiting circuit, which is the best choice for battery powered and portable computers.


LM1117-XX typical application circuit

C1 and C2 are filter capacitors. In order to ensure the stability of LM1117, for the adjustable voltage version, the output needs to be connected to at least 22 μ F capacitance. For the fixed voltage version, smaller capacitors can be used, which can be determined according to the actual application. In general, the stability of a linear regulator decreases as the output current increases.
